Courage League Sports is an adaptive sports and recreational facility specifically designed for children and adults not able to go "full speed" due to a disability, illness, or emotional challenge. Our programs provide an opportunity to play in sports leagues, participate in group classes, play around during open gym nights, or participate in our School Break Camps at everyone's own skill level.
In reference to our School Break Camps, Courage League Sports is offering a 10-week Summer Sports Camp. This Summer Sports Camp will provide opportunities for skill enhancement and fitness training in a fun and safe environment for ALL ability levels. Additionally, our CLS Summer Sports Camp will offer non-competitive game play where everybody WINS!
Included in our Summer Sports Camp will be a combination of traditional sports activities and our new innovative EXERGAMING technology designed to exercise both the mind and the body. These include a 10 ft wide lighted touch wall and an EYEPLAY system which is like a giant iPad projected on our field.
This advancement in virtual gaming has shown promising findings towards the benefits of active video-based gaming and children with special needs. According to recent studies, it was concluded that EXERGAMING combines physical and mental exercise by linking physical exercise movements to video game control and may yield better compliance with exercise for youth with physical and intellectual disabilities (Anderson-Hanley, Schneiderman, 2011; Sean, Kornspan, 2012).
Your child is important to us, that is why we want to provide a rich and stimulating environment with a focus on the whole body! We hope that you will join in on the fun!
