About Myself:
I am a Family Support Coordinator at ASK Resoure Center!
About My Family:
I have a pretty close family. My parents, younger brother and I all live within 10 minutes of each other, and talk pretty regularly.
I'm here because...
My brother was born with CP and was sick a lot when we were young. We had to stay home a lot to avoid contact with other people who might be sick. He's been mostly healthy for many years now! We both live independently with the support of each other and our family!! It's nice to have each other's support!

As a Family Support Coordinator at ASK Resource Center, I have a unique opportunity to help families to learn about the options available to them and navigate the support services available to kids with special needs through the school systems.  I try to help brainstorm, problem-solve and advocate for high expectations for all students.

I have been able to provide input into a few state-wide councils including past involvement in the Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation…

Hi. I enjoyed the training and the education part was very useful information for me. It will be really helpful for me and my daughter and to pass on to my sister who has two daughters with mental health challenges.

Hi Mari. I attended your recent training. I have been trying to leave a comment in the groups that I have joined. I do not see the option tab to leave any comments. Unfortunately I am going in for surgery today. And not sure that I will be feeling up to leaving any comments once I am able to leave comments. Can my due date please be extended. Thank you! Nancy McLaughlin.
