House Rules - a Novel

I was at the Des Moines library this past weekend looking for my next book to read. Now, I'm a huge Jodi Picoult fan and recently finished her novel "Plain Truth." Most of Picoult's books have to deal with the legal system in some way, shape, or form. Progress monitoring during the RtI process is not something to be feared. It does not have to be confusing or overwhelming. The key is consistency and accurate record keeping. Parents can help in the data collection process by understanding what data is being collected on their child and how the data will be used to make future educational decisions for that child. MTV and Transition - Tonight!!!

The "World of Jenks", a MTV documentary style series begins it's second season tonight at 11:00 pm ET.  The series is following three adults with disabilities as they transition to adulthood. One of this season's stories will be to follow a high school age student as he prepares for the next steps of his life.
