NPR posted an article today about what to do with a student who fidgets. Last week, they'd posted a story about how movement can help students with ADHD. (Click here to read the article). Summer time...no books, no homework, no tests! However, if you have a child with challenges, that may not be the case. My son had to be tutored all summer, every summer until 7th grade. He essentially never got a break from school, being tutored 2-3 hours/day, 3 days a week all summer.

This company has a variety of adapted clothing to make dressing easy but “cool”. Easter Seals Iowa is having a (used) equipment drive on May 15. Maybe you've heard Van and Bonnie of WHO Radio are helping them host a Durable Medical Equipment Drive May 15 at Camp Sunnyside from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Items most needed include manual wheelchairs, shower transfer benches and lift chairs.
