ADAPTING FLAG FOOTBALL INSTRUCTION: INCLUDING STUDENTS WITH DISABILITEIS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Flag football can be adapted for students with disabling conditions. Everyone can participate to develop personal skills and encourage those to participate to the best of their ability.  These instructions could be shared with physical education teachers or even with neighborhood parents for the “sand lot” pick -up games that neighborhood children play.  Maybe they haven’t thought it was possible, and if they know how maybe every child can be included.  Check out the…

A Wheelchair Maintenance Guide!

Buying and maintaining a wheelchair is not an easy feat.  Due to restrictions in insurance coverage and years before a wheelchair can be replaced, typically a minimum of five years, it is imperative that you practice regular maintenance and cleaning for your wheelchair.

Today Show Brings Attention to Teens and Hearing Loss

A segment on the Today show points out the dangers teens face when listening to loud music through earbuds. The video and accompanying article references a study published in the journal Scientific Reports.
