Do not fear progress monitoring in RtI

Progress monitoring during the RtI process is not something to be feared. It does not have to be confusing or overwhelming. The key is consistency and accurate record keeping. Parents can help in the data collection process by understanding what data is being collected on their child and how the data will be used to make future educational decisions for that child. MTV and Transition - Tonight!!!

The "World of Jenks", a MTV documentary style series begins it's second season tonight at 11:00 pm ET.  The series is following three adults with disabilities as they transition to adulthood. One of this season's stories will be to follow a high school age student as he prepares for the next steps of his life.

Connecting Response to Intervention and Service Eligibility

Response to Intervention (RTI) is a process that involves changing instruction for a struggling student over the course of time to help determine the reason(s) the student may be struggling in school. The student's response to the intervention(s) will help determine if the student needs to be tested for special education eligibility.
