The topic of Parent Teacher conferences came up today and I was reminded of an article published by the Harvard Family Research Project.  The article includes tips for parents to make the most of conference time with teachers.  One part summarizes the tips like this:

Emphasis on learning

Home-school collaboration

and evidence

Respect for all

Dedication to follow-up/action

Just think what great conversations would be had if all parties followed the "Be Heard" steps!!
