Mom opens no-cost dance studio for kids with special needs

Visit for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

After struggling to find the right dance class for her five-year-old daughter Mia, who has high-functioning Aspergers, North Carolina mom Tess Walters opened DanceAbilities Academy. The studio opened its doors in June and offers a variety of dance and exercise classes for children with special needs, all at no-cost. DanceAbilities provides a judgement-free zone, where kids make life-long connections and dance like everyone is watching.
